TROOP 50

WELCOMES YOU!

NEWS

A note from
the Advancements Chair

Hello Everyone:

I am sending this out to let the parents know how we do the merit badge and blue card process. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  **access the letter via the link below

Also as a reminder and to let the new scouts know, we have a $60.00 a year dues or $5.00 a month dues. Our troop policy is that the Scout has to be current in his dues to advance in rank.

Thank you,

Troop 50 and VMIS

Troop 50 has linked our volunteers into the installation.  One of the key ways we do that is through the Volunteer Management Information System or VMIS.  It is Army as well as Installation regulation to have volunteers registered in their system.

Getting registered and getting into the correct volunteer position is fairly straightforward and effortless.  An informational guide can be viewed by clicking on the link below.  The informational guide is NOT for Ft. Rucker but the overall system is the same regardless of location.  Simply choose the correct local information as needed.

This action is then followed up with uploaded a signed form DD2793 which you can receive in person at a Troop Meeting.

Please contact the Troop 50 Webmaster with any questions or concerns regarding registering with VMIS at:

Fundraising with Troop 50

Please make sure to note our new ongoing fundraising efforts now in place.  We are collecting inkjet and toner cartridges and also soda cans.  Both have drop off containers at the Scout Hut.

Ask your friends and neighbors to think of us before just tossing them out.  This is our way of earning a few extra dollars for the Troop and putting our best conservation efforts forward.

KEY EVENTS

Scout Master Conferences:
Held the first Tuesday of every month.

Board of Review:
